At The Giving Web, we are online architects. We view web sites as fluid and organic structures that reside on the Internet. There is a basic framework and logic, but also evolving and changing needs. Our approach to creating a web site is akin to an architectural project. We evaluate all businesses as an architect would, which includes looking at business objectives, design, functional elements, construction, and maintenance - all with the business, brand and end-user in mind.

The process is as follows:

Design Discovery
As online architects, we begin with a Design Discovery phase in which we look to gather a solid understanding of a client's branding, messaging, objectives and long and short term goals, as well as the context of their business or organization. Our team of designers, marketers, technologists and strategists look at each project to suggest the appropriate course of action.

Technical Scope of Work
In this second phase, we determine what the technical specifications of the site will be, based on the assessment in the Design Discovery phase.

Design Development & Presentation
This phase is when the project becomes a visual reality, in the development of several design schemes and approaches.

Construction
